Dutch mobility start-up Innovactory, the company behind transport app Gaiyo, has received €1.5 million in a funding round. The new capital will be used for product development, connecting more transport providers and increasing the number of users of the app.
About Gaiyo
Gaiyo is an innovative app that functions as a one-stop shop for any form of (shared) mobility. The Gaiyo users can very easily plan their trip and get access to all forms of shared mobility (cars, e-scooters, e-bikes), public transport and cabs. Gaiyo is also the cheapest parking app in the Netherlands. Dutch newspaper ‘De Volkskrant’ already called Gaiyo at the end of 2020: ‘the most convenient and comprehensive transport app of the moment’.
More people access to sustainable mobility
Horizon Flevoland is lead investor in a funding round of over 1.5 million euros, in which other investors also participate. Lucien Groenhuijzen, CEO of Innovactory: ‘The new capital will be used to expand services in the Netherlands and abroad. The goal is to give more people access to sustainable mobility services. We are happy with Horizon as an investor, because they will use their knowledge and network to help us find real solutions, without taking the place of the entrepreneur.
