Lucien Groenhuijzen, CEO of Gaiyo:
The current approach of individual car ownership and car driving in cities is no longer sustainable, due to lack of space and driven by climate change. Gaiyo offers a solution, by offering direct access to all (shared) mobility providers in your area. Our main focus in recent years has been on serving consumers. With the acquisition of Mobility Mixx, we welcome more than a hundred new business accounts to Gaiyo Business. The acquisition also makes a significant contribution to our sustainability goals. Our goal is to achieve a reduction of 70,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions within five years.
Growth and expansion of services Gaiyo has grown rapidly in recent years. In 2022, the company achieved 600 percent growth in the Dutch consumer market. Not only is the company growing in size, it is also expanding its services. As Gaiyo has become the owner of Mobility Mixx, they can offer business customers a wider range of services, including travelling with an OV-chipcard, recharging or refuelling, managing mobility budgets and registering employees’ CO2 emissions, which is a legal requirement for employers as of 2024.
Gaiyo Business Gaiyo Business, the service for business customers, was launched in 2022. Employees can access all mobility using one app, one account and plan, book and travel with all shared mobility, public transport and parking, both for their business and private trips. Employers can manage their employees and possibilities in Gaiyo by using the Gaiyo Business portal. Here they also find all transaction overviews and invoices. Thanks to the combination of Gaiyo Business and Mobility Mixx, all business customers will have a more comprehensive range of services at their disposal. This gives the company the most complete range of business mobility services in the Netherlands and become a full service mobility partner for business.
