1. Can I reuse a recovered card?
No. Once you have reported your Gaiyo Card as lost or stolen, it will be permanently blocked.
- The card cannot be reactivated or unblocked.
- This is a security measure to prevent misuse.
2. What should I do with the recovered card?
You must return the recovered card to Gaiyo.
- This helps us to dispose of the card properly and prevents administrative errors.
3. How can I continue to travel?
- Once you have reported the loss, a replacement card will be requested for you.
- In the meantime, you can temporarily travel with e-tickets via the Gaiyo App, which can be found under Tickets & Reservations.
4. Why can’t a recovered card be used anymore?
Because the card is immediately blocked for security reasons when a loss or theft is reported.
- This prevents unauthorized persons from using your card.
- The block is irreversible.
In short: a card that you have previously reported as lost or stolen will remain blocked – even if you find it again. You must return the card to Gaiyo and travel with your replacement card or temporarily with e-tickets in the Gaiyo App.
