1. Can I also use Gaiyo privately?
Yes. In addition to business accounts, you can also create a private Gaiyo account. This allows you to use, book, and pay for mobility services yourself.
2. How do I create a private account?
- Download the Gaiyo App (iOS or Android).
- Open the app and select Register.
- Enter your personal details (name, email address, password, and address). After registering, you can immediately use your account to plan trips and book e-tickets or parking.
3. How do I pay for services?
- E-tickets and parking: for each booking, you pay by depositing money into your Gaiyo Wallet (via iDEAL or credit card). An automatic direct debit authorization is not required for this.
- Shared mobility (bike, car, Moped): an automatic direct debit authorization is required for this.
4. How do I activate shared mobility?
To use shared mobility, you need to complete additional steps:
a) Automatic direct debit authorization
- Click on “Allow automatic payment”.
- Make a 1 cent iDEAL transfer via internet banking.
- This will register your IBAN and link it to your account for direct debits.
b) Upload your driver’s license
- Upload clear photos of your driver’s license.
- Cover your BSN number (advice from the Dutch Data Protection Authority).
- Your driver’s license will be checked; this takes a maximum of 2 working days.
- After approval, you will see a green check mark next to Driver’s license in your account.
5. When can I use my private account?
- Immediately after registration: planning trips, purchasing e-tickets, and using parking (via Wallet).
- After authorization and driver’s license verification: access to shared mobility (bike, car, Moped).
In short: a Gaiyo private account can be used immediately for e-tickets and parking (via Wallet payment). For shared mobility, you must first issue a 1 cent iDEAL authorization and upload your driver’s license.
