Sure! You can travel within Europe (including the United Kingdom) without special permission. Travel outside Europe is only possible with prior permission from Greenwheels.
What you need to know before your road trip:
- Refueling or charging abroad:
- Your Greenwheels fuel or charging card only works in the Netherlands.
- You can refuel/charge yourself and claim receipts via your profile; the costs will be settled with your invoice.
- Environmental zones and vignettes:
- Many countries have environmental zones or toll vignettes. Greenwheels cars are not equipped with these stickers as standard.
- Arrange your vignette or environmental sticker yourself in good time, for example via the ANWB.
- Winter tires and regulations:
- In Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, winter tires are mandatory during winter conditions (snow, ice).
- Greenwheels cars are equipped with all-season tires with the 3PMSF symbol, but do not have winter tires – please take this into account.
- Breakdown services and roadside assistance:
- ANWB breakdown assistance is available in European countries. In case of breakdown, you can contact ANWB Roadside Assistance 24/7 on +31 10 411 31 21.
