1. Can I convert a business trip to a private trip (or vice versa)?
Yes. You can classify a trip you have made as a private trip yourself via the Gaiyo Portal or the Gaiyo App.
2. How does this work exactly?
- Log in to the Gaiyo Portal (my.gaiyo.com) or open the Gaiyo App.
- Go to your travel transactions.
- Select the relevant trip.
- Select the option “Mark as private trip”.
- Save the change.
3. Until when can I make this change?
- You can change the classification of a trip until the end of the month.
- After this period, it is no longer possible to make changes, as all transactions will already have been processed in the invoice to your employer.
4. How are the costs settled?
- Depending on the agreements with your employer, the costs of private trips will be charged directly to you or settled via the payroll department.
- Please note: Gaiyo invoices all registered transactions automatically to your employer and cannot change or delete any transactions itself.
In short: did you accidentally make a private trip with your Gaiyo Card? You can correct this yourself in the App or Portal by marking the trip as private, as long as you do so before the end of the month.
