2. How does a temporary class change work?
- Go to an NS ticket machine.
- Hold your Gaiyo Card in front of the card reader.
- Select the option “Change class.”
- Select the product “Today 1st class.”
- Hold your Gaiyo Card in front of the card reader again to load the product.
The class upgrade is valid until 4:00 a.m. or until you cancel the temporary class upgrade yourself.
3. Which journeys does the class upgrade apply to?
The change is valid for all your NS journeys on that day. Your standard travel class remains applicable for other carriers (e.g., Arriva or Keolis).
4. Can I cancel the temporary class change?
Yes. You can cancel the class change yourself at an NS ticket machine. After cancellation, you will travel in your standard travel class (usually 2nd class) again.
